What schools take credit for
Students who have are able to get help from parents who know the material, or from tutors or learning centers, have an advantage over those students without such access. This situation often results in schools taking credit for such out of school help—and gives them a free pass to continue using ineffective math programs that fail students who don’t have access to tutoring that relies on tried and true explicit instruction methods, and practice.
