Online Event About Math
J.R. Wilson and I (authors of Traditional Math, draft chapters of which I’ve posted on this Substack account) will be on an online event sponsored by National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) tomorrow (July 14) from 7 - 8 PM, ET.
From the blurb about the event:
“Parents, join Distinguished Visiting Professor Steven Strogatz, Barry Garelick, and J. R. Wilson for an hour of math learning, designed with you in mind. Starting with the basics, we'll explore — and learn to leap right over — some of the most common stumbling blocks in K–12 math. Anything that you or your child ever found confusing is fair game!”
Note: There is a charge of $15 to join the Zoom event, unless you are a member of MoMath. My apologies for that, but I don’t run the show.
I am resisting the urge to say “will be wild”. There. Aren’t you glad I didn’t say that?
